The SEMO grounds open to the public on Friday afternoon for early bird arrivals. The vendors are set up, and a DJ spins music until the wee hours of the morning. It's a great time to come down, get your camp set up, and enjoy a nice evening around the fire with friends. Gates open at 8am on Saturday, the day of the drag races and field events, which take place around noon. After the field events, live bands take the stage, and soon after nightfall the wet t-shirt contest begins. The party continues with more live music until dawn on the morning of the 17th. The entry fee is $20 per person. Some of the highlights of SEMO include: * Free and spacious camping on over 40 acres (with free firewood) * Field Events - Dirt Drags - Slow Race - Wienie Bite - Tire Drag - Relays - Tug of War - ...and more! * Live Music * Cold Beer and Hot Food (or bring your own!) * Bagged ice available cheap and on site * A variety of food, novelty, and apparel vendors
