The 27th Annual Southeast Missouri (or SEMO) Rally, located deep in the Ozark Mountains outside of Lesterville, Missouri, is just a few weeks away and you better believe this is a rally where bikers can actually do mo' and see mo' than anywhere else. This event is known for its old-school "Run What Ya Brung" field events and non-stop partying. Rally organizers believe that bikers, being of a competitive nature, will gather upon the field in a friendly combative spirit and go balls to the wall to win an event. Perhaps I need to rephrase that just a little, since last year one of the drag events was won by a girl -- labia to the wall!? The tug-o-war is tough, the weenie bite is said to be tasty and the drags are down and dirty. Throw in some big 'n bouncy lady parts into the mix and you've got one hell of a show! After a full day of warm women, cold beer and friendly competition, most ralliers settle in to some righteous rock from one of the featured bands. There are a good number of vendors - including some stand up souls who serve warm meals until the wee hours. You can find my old buddies from Twin Motorcycle & Tattoo slinging the ink all week-end, leaving partiers walking around bandaged and patched up like a worn inner tube. SEMO organizers put on a well-orchestrated rally, providing all the free firewood you wanted, and a great environment to party. |
